How to Stop Back Dated Entries In Tally ?


The object of This Block :

You Can Stop Create/alter Entry in Tally from Date Specified By You. 
(I.e. you are in 18-19 and you want to stop create/alter entry before 31.03.2018)

Block of Info :

Useful Term: "Current Date for tally": Menace "Date of Last Voucher entry in tally" (you can see on Gateway of tally Also)

We are Require to Mack Following two type of login security :
1)  Admin  Login : (Admin name and Password)
2)  User Login :  ( User Name and Password)

Let’s, Do it :

     1) To Set Admin Name and Password 

·       Gateway of Tally > Co. Info (Alt + f3) > Alter.
·       Select Company name
·       Mack “yes’ to ‘Use Security Controls”
·       Set: “Name of Admin” and “Password”
·       Reload Company By using Above “Name and “Password”
    (After Reload Company Your Admin Name and Password is Set)  

2) To Set User Name and Password 


But, First You Require to Set Security Level  for User,
 Before you Setup a  User Name and Password. 

 So, Let’s Create Security Level First:
·       Open Company with Admin Name and Password
·       Gateway of Tally > Co. Info(Alt + f3) > Security Control> Types of Security.
·       You can See Predefined Three Level of Security (i.e. Data Entry, Tally.Net user, Tally.Net Auditor)
·       Now You Have to Create New Security Level “123” and Press “ Down Arrow “
·       Accept it.

Now you require configuring Security level.
·       Gateway of Tally > Co. Info (Alt + f3) > Security Control> Types of Security
·       Go to “123” and Press Enter.

·       Mack Following Configure:

·       Name of Security Level:  “123”
·       Use Basic Facilities of :  “123”
·       Days allowed For backdate Entry: “365”
     (“30” menace if current Date is 01.11.2018, User cannot change entry before 31.10.2017)
·       Cut-off Date for Back Date Voucher: “31.03.2018”
     (“31.03.2018’’ As per Point “C” User allow to Mack modification for 365 Day but  
      This cut-off restrict to 31.03.2018)

  Mack change in the following point as per your requirement :
·       Set/alter rules for print...
·       Allow to overwrite tax...
·       Allow  company to connect
·       Use tally.net Authentication...

·       Disallow the Following Facilities:
    Create/ Alter: Backdated Vouchers
     End list

·       Allow the Following Facilities:
      End List

    Accept it.

(Your Security Level is Set)

Now Time To Setup User Name and Password ( For User) : 
·       Gateway of tally > Co. Info(Alt + f3) > Security Control > Users and password
·       Select Security Level “123”
·       Define “Name” and “ Password”
·       End list it and Accept it
            (Your User Name and Password is set)

Now, Your User login will Restrict Back Dated Entry as per set security level set by Admin.
